    INFRASTRUCTURE, EXPLAINED

What are IT infrastructure management services?

IT infrastructure management services cover the administration, maintenance and monitoring of the hardware, software and networks that support a business. The scope can include asset records, server administration, network upkeep, patches and backup oversight.

A slow application may involve a server, a network connection or a capacity issue. Managing the environment together helps identify what needs attention and who is responsible for the next step.

    OUR SERVICE COVERAGE

    Support across the systems
    you depend on.

Bring connected infrastructure responsibilities into a defined scope, with clear boundaries for specialist work and third-party services.

    Hardware & asset management

Support installations, upgrades and preventive maintenance, with an agreed record of devices and lifecycle needs. Procurement, replacement parts and warranties are scoped separately.

    IT AMC Services

    Network & connectivity

Support LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN requirements. Define monitoring, cabling and connectivity responsibilities, including the work owned by your internet provider.

    Network & Server Services

    Servers & virtual environments

Administer agreed Windows, Linux and virtual servers. Coordinate updates and performance reviews around supported platforms and business dependencies.

    Remote monitoring & maintenance

Agree which assets are monitored, who handles alerts and when maintenance takes place. Monitoring, remediation and response commitments are defined separately.

    Discuss monitoring coverage

    Backup & recovery planning

Define backup ownership and recovery requirements for systems in scope. Agree retention, restore testing and recovery objectives before making assumptions about protection.

    Discuss recovery requirements

    Business email, domains & DNS

Support agreed workplace platforms and the domains, DNS records and certificates they depend on. Assign ownership of renewals, subscriptions and migrations.

    Microsoft 365 Support

Coverage is agreed for your environment. Hardware, licences, migrations, major upgrades and specialist security work are not automatically included in every management arrangement.

    YOUR EXISTING ENVIRONMENT

    Start with the infrastructure
    you already have.

Share the systems you run in your office, at other locations or with a cloud provider. We will discuss which assets, platforms and responsibilities can be brought into the agreed scope.

Remote management is a way of supporting systems; it does not mean moving them to the cloud. For hybrid environments, confirm platform support and the responsibilities retained by each provider.

    SCOPE THAT FITS YOUR BUSINESS

When should you outsource infrastructure management?

Consider additional support when internal capacity is stretched, issues keep recurring across systems or expansion requires more coordination. Your team can retain strategy and approvals while agreed technical tasks are outsourced.

The right arrangement depends on your existing capability. Outsourcing does not automatically remove every internal role or reduce every cost.

    What shapes the cost?

01Asset numbers, platforms & current condition
    02Locations & onsite requirements
    03Support hours & monitoring coverage
    04Backup responsibilities & specialist work
    05Upgrades, licences & one-time projects

Separate recurring management from equipment, subscriptions and project work in the proposal.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Understand the scope.
    Make the next move.

Practical answers about your existing systems, support coverage and infrastructure responsibilities.

What is included in infrastructure management?

The scope can cover hardware, networks, servers, monitoring, maintenance, backup responsibilities and supporting workplace systems. Your agreement should identify covered assets, service hours, exclusions and the work owned by other providers.

How is this different from managed IT services?

Infrastructure management focuses on the technology foundation of your business. Managed IT Services can also cover broader employee support and overall service ownership. The two may form part of the same engagement.

Can you manage our existing infrastructure?

Share your current environment, versions, documentation and recurring issues. The systems, access requirements and dependencies need to be reviewed before a suitable scope and transition can be agreed.

Do you support Windows, Linux and virtual servers?

KVETO’s infrastructure service includes Windows, Linux and virtual server management. Confirm the operating-system versions, virtualization platforms and specific administration tasks required when discussing your environment.

Do you provide remote and onsite assistance?

Yes, remote and onsite assistance can be arranged under agreed coverage. Share your locations and operating hours so the team can discuss availability, escalation and response arrangements.

Are backups and disaster recovery included?

Backup and recovery responsibilities must be explicitly scoped. Agree backup monitoring, retention, restore testing and recovery objectives. Having a backup alone does not establish a complete disaster recovery plan.

Can you support cloud or hybrid infrastructure?

Discuss the platforms you use and how they connect with your office systems. Supported services, access, provider responsibilities and any migration work need to be confirmed before being included in the engagement.

How does infrastructure management support cybersecurity?

Maintenance, patching, configuration and access responsibilities can support security. Specialist assessment, detection and incident-response requirements should be separately defined. Explore our Cybersecurity Services for related support.
